Why creativity AI is going viral

The level of “Bandwagoning” is unreal in modern times. I’m not going to lie; I also love jumping into bandwagoning phenomenon for edutainment most of the time. The power of creativity AI drives this phenomenon of bandwagoning into an insane state.

What is Bandwagoning? This phenomenon is described as the tendency for people to join in on something popular or trending. In short, this behavior is like a trend chaser, to be part of the group to feel conformity. We could not help it; it’s the modern-day lifestyle now. Imagine if we are not “on it”, we can’t join any conversation in a café or kopitiam, and it will make one feel disconnected from the world.

So, what is the latest Bandwagoning? Creativity AI! We live in a world where ChatGPT is as important as your mobile plan. The advancement of AI chatbots drives creativity AI to a new level. The latest Bandwagoning viral trends are joining in the fun to generate Ghibli and Action Hero-style images on social media and enjoying Orange-cat drama (AI-generated videos) that is going insanely viral on TikTok.

What’s the beef about these viral? Let’s talk about it.

To begin, Open AI makes its image generator better and much more powerful. To demonstrate this capability, Sam Altman, Open AI CEO, tweeted an image of Studio Ghibli’s animated style the image of his portrait and shared it on social media. This has a profound impact and led to the bandwagoning of people jumping in to try and generate their portrait in Studio Ghibli style. The effect is that ChatGPT attracts 1 million users in an hour! And this pretty much put an enormous load on their server and people!

Ghibli image style trending

1. Studio Ghibli’s “Fan Creativity AI Art” Explosion

This trend of Ghibli fan art exploded and probably led to other engines experiencing this craze as well. We can also find dreamlike Ghibli-esque visuals with simple prompts like “Kiki flying over Tokyo at sunset” or “Howl’s castle in a steampunk city” on platforms like Midjourney and Stability AI.

Of course, it is a well-known fact that Hayao Miyazaki, founder of Studio Ghibli, dislikes creativity AI art. He famously remarked in 2016, after watching a disturbing AI animation demo – “Machine-made art is an insult to life itself.

In this age of creativity AI art trends—where the technology is accessible, I guess everyone wants to have some fun to create and also be part of the trend. Of course, I do feel for the Ghibli-style creator. What I can hope for is for the AI platforms to reconcile with the creators, maybe have a “Spotify type” of royalty sharing like the one in the case of the song creator.

It’s a difficult problem to solve, but one thing is clear: it is hard to stop technology from advancing.

2. TikTok’s Orange Cat Multiverse – Creativity AI

Another interesting emerging trend is the micro or tiny dramas on TikTok. Cue the TikTok orange cat creativity AI explosion: short, surreal micro-dramas. This Orange cat drama is about the cat’s betrayal of its friends and goes around eating up its friend. The tiny dramas are so entertaining and funny; I seriously can’t stop watching. 😊.

I really can’t be blamed for this meal.

AI video engines clearly generate the drama. It is fascinating because it is a well-scripted, short, tiny, intense drama with good b-rolls and good audio to deliver the humor. It kept me wondering in the age of this generative AI, we can do wonders with creativity AI!

So, what is the hook? I love comedic humor. It entertains me and helps me de-stress. What’s important is that I’m going to learn how to produce it myself!

3. Action Heroes Figure – Creativity AI

We are used to seeing our favorite superhero being made into action figure toy packs. Now, with creativity AI capability, we can create our own action hero figure from image style to video content.

This action hero creativity AI will take personal branding to a new level. It is appealing and surreal, and it will be very useful for us in the age of the attention economy.

Why Creativity AI Is About to Explode

We all love a good K-drama or a high-budget Netflix thriller. I am sure many of us always curious how are these dramas being produced. With creativity AI capabilities, combined with platforms like TikTok, has created a new playground for us: the content flex.

Here’s why this shift is monumental:

  • Low Barrier, High Reward: Anyone with a smartphone can become a screenwriter, director, or editor. A 15-second cat drama can rival Hollywood-level engagement.
  • New Genres Are Emerging: Absurdist comedy, AI-generated soap operas, and pixelated fairytales are becoming legitimate entertainment categories.
  • Audiences Want Quick & Quirky: Attention spans are short, but creativity is limitless. AI supercharges this equation.

We’re entering an era when creativity isn’t locked behind studio doors. It’s in the hands of everyday creators, and that’s powerful.

Why Aspiring Content Creators Should Pay Attention

A. The 3-Second Rule For Attention

In content marketing, three seconds is all you have to keep attention. AI Video engines allow creators to test different types of content formats and concepts.

Think of AI as your creative assistant—not a replacement, but a turbo boost.

B. Low-Cost Storytelling

Storytelling used to require a budget. Now, it just takes a good prompt.

Case in point: A B2B marketer used AI to turn a dull quarterly report into a manga-style comic. Not only did engagement spike, but the client also asked for more of it.

Video creativity AI allows even non-creatives to tell better stories—with personality, humor, and unexpected delight.

C. Prompt Engineering Is Key

This content looks easy to create. But behind it, there is a need to learn prompt engineering. Especially in video creation, for instance, there’s a need to understand how camera angle works so as to create the right motion with the right type of prompt. The prompt can be sophisticated for Hollywood-type effects.

The best way to learn is to experiment with it. There are plenty of free tools to try. You can try them free for short clips of 5s on tools like hailuo-ai or kling-ai. Kling-ai is currently my favorite video tool.

D. Try It Yourself on Creativity AI (1-hour Challenges)

I am not going to tell you that it is going to be 5 minutes challenge. That is not real. For sure, the prompt on ChatGPT is relatively fast, but if you are using the free version on Kling-ai, the generation will take time, like at least 30 minutes, for a free 5s clip.

Final Thoughts: Play, But Stay Human

Whether it’s a dreamy Ghibli landscape or an AI cat drama, creativity AI isn’t a replacement for human expression—it’s a reflection of it. With AI, I think we are in for an unimaginative playground. This playground if you have the right creativity, you would have the most fun with it.

So, play, create, and remix. But remember: the best stories still come from lived experience, not algorithms.

Use AI as your co-pilot—not your autopilot.
