tech fashion march 2025 round up

The idea of good technology these days must marry with style. As a product designer, I can vouch for that. Tech fashion is no longer a niche trend—it’s a full-blown movement. As technology evolves, so does its integration into our daily style. Gone are the days of clunky tech gadgets; today’s gadgets are sleek, functional, and undeniably fashionable. In short, if they are not stylish, even if they are fantastic tech, the mass market will not want them. In our tech fashion March 2025 that just passed, here is the list of designs spotted in tech fashion news proving innovation and aesthetics coexist.

1. Apple’s Foldable Watch: The Bracelet of the Future

Apple filed a patent on a foldable screen watch

Why It’s a Game-Changer – Tech Fashion March 2025

Apple’s latest patent reveals a foldable smartwatch that wraps around the wrist like a high-end bracelet. This is new. Although it is just a patent (the actual product may take time to realize), the form factor is fascinating.

What does it mean for style and innovation?

  • More to display: Expect more information to be displayed
  • Video Conference: How about video conference on your watch and on the go? (I imagine!)
  • Is it time to discard the phone? With the foldable extension, the screen increases the value of productivity. Could we just keep our phones at home? Maybe.

Fashion Verdict: I think the form factor is elegant. We all know how good Apple is at creating designs that feel minimalist yet stylish. I can’t wait for it!

2. Huawei Pura X: The First Jean-Friendly Phone

Designed for the Modern Minimalist – Tech Fashion March 2025

Huawei’s Pura X launched is engineered for those who hate bulky phones. It is under 8mm thick when unfolded, and the thickness looks reasonably good. I haven’t been excited by a phone design for a long time. This Pura X design just speaks differently. Unlike conventional foldable phones we’ve seen so far, this Pura X opens up to a 16:10 viewing ratio. It probably gives you the feel of a mini-tablet when it opens up.

I desire this form factor a lot and hope Apple will do it. (I am an IOS ecosystem user.) However, I think Apple is going in a different direction by bringing a foldable design to the iPad instead.

What does it mean for style and innovation?

  • Pocket-Perfect: Should slide effortlessly into tight jeans.
  • Aesthetic Appeal: A foldable phone is always appealing, especially now it has a bigger folded display.
  • Productivity: Naturally, it will look suitable for productivity tasks with a bigger readable screen.

Fashion Verdict: As I wear jeans frequently, I want the phone to have a bigger screen to read and perform a certain level of productivity tasks. Yet I do not fancy a large phone feel inside our jeans pocket. This Pura X feels about right. The unfortunate part is it is not an IOS ecosystem. Space phone for me? Maybe.

3. Velia Ring: The Discreet Powerhouse of Tech Fashion

Redefining Wearable Luxury – Tech Fashion March 2025

I like smart wearables to monitor my sleep. Although I have an Apple watch, I always felt wearing a watch while sleeping was intrusive. I just do not like it personally. Hence, a smart ring may work for me. The newly initiated Velia Ring (formerly IRIS) is revolutionizing tech fashion with its jewelry-design-first approach—a health-tracking smart ring that looks so elegant you’ll forget it’s packed with cutting-edge tech.

What does it mean for style and innovation?

  • Medical grade titanium: Titanium materials with ultra-scratch resistant
  • Healthcare Standard: healthcare technology to monitor your health
  • Compatibility: Compatible with Apple or Android ecosystem

Fashion Verdict: For people who look for a less intrusive feeling of wear and style, the Velia ring may be an excellent option.

4. Nothing Phone (3): Where Tech Fashion Gets Edgy

The Transparent Trendsetter – Tech Fashion March 2025

Nothing’s Phone (3a) was launched this month. I find Nothing phones always have something about their design. The back of the design is quite out of the world, with a kind of industrial look, or rather, at times, it feels like you are living in a space capsule.

What does it mean for style and innovation?

  • Bold Aesthetic: The phone is something that will attract attention.
  • A Decent Mid-range phone: They focus on making the best mid-range phone, and I think they may be onto something here.
  • Sleek Build: Phone 3a does come with premium vibes.

Fashion Verdict: If you are looking for a mid-range or even a second phone, you can make a tech fashion statement with Nothing’s Phone 3a.

Why Tech Fashion Is Here to Stay

The intersection of tech and fashion is reshaping how we interact with gadgets. No longer just functional, these devices are style statements—enhancing our lives while complementing our personal aesthetics.

  • Smart Glasses: Although some of the glasses are already here, I am hoping for one that allows me to watch Opera with live translation and live screen caption. That would be super cool and allow us to watch opera in their native languages.
  • More Foldable Device Fashionable Design: It does feel like we are at the plateau of how the device form factor will evolve; I do not want to bet against any possible revolutionary design. The tech company is at the forefront of design, and Apple may reimagine a foldable device. Can’t wait!
  • Biometric Fashion: I think more will come from this space. Rings and necklaces that monitor health.

Final Thoughts: Should You Invest in Tech Fashion?

I am not going to lie; I am certainly vulnerable to good tech with style. When I look at this Pura X, I really like the form factor and wonder why Apple refuses to do something with a foldable phone. I hold an iPhone with a 6.1-inch display, and the 6.7-inch and above somehow feel too big for my pocket. Of course, Apple is a company that sets the trend and does not follow it. I do, however, harbor some hope that Apple will do something in this space; after all, it took some time to implement a USB-C charging port. (But I heard they are doing it away soon 😯)

I probably need a second phone, and I would love to have Nothing 3a as a second phone. They look very cool and are unique in design. And as for the smart ring, it is getting higher up on my to-buy list now.

We can’t possibly catch all the good tech trends, but the good ones with style are certainly worth a look. Which of these tech fashion pieces is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
